Qualifications of William D. Bott

Mr. Bott, a principal of recently formed Side by Side Capital Partners, is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ultimately closing equity transactions on behalf of the company and its investor base. Prior to his most recent venture, he was vice president with PNC Realty Investors, Inc., responsible for east coast acquisitions and development transactions. He also served as the portfolio manager for a $250 million discretionary account characterized as a distressed real estate portfolio. His proactive and aggressive approach to reposition the portfolio resulted in substantial improvements to the portfolio’s performance. Prior to joining PNC Realty Investors, Inc., Mr. Bott worked within the Capital Transactions Group of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. (purchased by Morgan Stanley in 2003), a institutional real estate advisor. He began his career with Ratcliffe, Cali, Duffy, & Hughes, a well-respected boutique real estate appraisal and consulting firm based in Washington, DC.

Mr. Bott’s transactional experience is broad, having placed over $325 million through various capital structures including: leveraged equity, mezzanine debt, participating debt, and joint venture equity. The real estate assets, in which these investments are part, were valued at nearly $1 billion and cover every major property type.

Mr. Bott received a BS from the Pennsylvania State University and, in 2005, earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He has served and continues to be active as a guest lecturer within the Masters of Science in Real Estate Program at Johns Hopkins University.
